It is 32 days to SPM examination! Yes! Another month to go! I really hope SPM candidates are using their time wisely now until The Day.

What should you as an SPM candidate do as for now?

1. Have a schedule for revision for all subjects. Maybe you should put a half-an-hour/one-hour slot for each subject every day? It's up to you. You know how you study best, right?

2. Get enough rest. Do not study non-stop! Remember, your health is as equally important.

3. Eat healthy, nutritious food. Avoid junk food/fast food for a while. Their high content of sodium and preservatives may not do good for your alert state of mind.

Happy studying! ☺️

I feel good today!

Text: Rozanah Zakaria

I love today as I love this yummilicious cream.

After quite some time.

Today I feel like on top of the world. I feel like having all the time for myself. I started today by doing the house chores, the basic ones, doing laundry and ironing. Done with that, I was browsing the online paper. I prefer the Star Online paper as I like to read what I like. Haha!

Then, I go browsing the mail boxes. I mean, my email. Checking the inbox, I replied a few emails specifically seeking for tips on SPM English paper. So I updated my blog entries with what is required, then replying to all emails; letting them know I've updated my jotting, just for them.

Well, it feels so good when you know that you have done someone a favour.

May Allah bless them all and may they succeed in their coming SPM examination. Ameen.

Be strong my friend.

      This life is a journey; a long journey.

I was shocked when I knew she was diagnosed with cancer! O Allah, is this a reminder to me, as well? 😔

I pray that you are strong my friend, I know you are. I am here, always praying for you. May Allah ease your burden. May  Allah ease everything for you. May Allah bless you.

Ameen.

Expectation

Text: Rozanah Zakaria
Photo: Rozanah Zakaria
  The higher your expectation, the more
   you will be hurt.

Do not expect anyone to understand you.

For if you believe so, your pain could be unbearable; of shattered hopes.

Keep your expectation just for yourself.

Love yourself before others; as by doing so, you will spread more love to the universe.

Prioriti

    Jalan Pida 3, Tunjang ke Sungai Korok
    Balai Pos.

Lihat dan nilai sendiri. Aku dah fed-up rasanya dengan hal ni. Sejak arwah Tokwan ada dulu, dia ada perjuangkan mintak mini tar ni. Dapat la, Alhamdulillah. Tapi tengoklah. Pada aku, depa ni buat kerja adalah semata-mata 'melepaskan batuk ditangga'. Sebab depa tau, orang kampung tak banyak komplen.

Pada aku, ini adalah pengkhianatan amanah yang sangat jijik. Kau bayangkan aku balik kampung sekali-sekala pun fed-up, inikan pakcik-pakcik yang dok lalu jalan ni tiap-tiap hari, termasuklah ayah aku.

Come on, aku rasa sangat disgusting apa yang depa ni buat. Kau ambil kesempatan buat jalan tu sambil lewa dek kerana depa ni orang kampung, yang selalunya jarang komplen, dan cukup dengan apa yang ada.

It's so disgusting an act!

Racing

Text: Rozanah Zakaria
Photo: Rozanah Zakaria
            Perlis in my point of view

Racing connotes a very positive term in the first place, should we talk about the motor GP or the F1 in Sepang (well, thus soon will become a thing in the past,😪).

However, this suddenly becomes so negative when I headed back for my eid holiday recently. Manouvering my Swift through Perlis to Kedah, ugly sights caught my very eyes! It's dusk, a lil' drizzling, my hubby and I passed by motorbikes by the roadsides, waiting to test their machines. It's so disgusting a sight that it happens on the public road!

To say that I loathed racing is a blatant diaregard to my loyalty going wvery year for the F1 racing. So, my view is not a biased one, rather as a Malaysian citizen who always value respecting each other's freedom and right to self.

I believe for whatever reasons we do what we do, we should always think to never do a thing that we don't expect others do onto us. As simple as that.

Call me traditional, I always believe respecting each other, regardless of our education levels. What differentiates us is no less than our attitude. That's all about it.

Let's race towards a better life, so we could always be a helping hand when someone asks for it.

Until then, happy eid & happy holiday peeps! 😉

Life boundaries

Text: Rozanah Zakaria
Photo: Rozanah Zakaria
      Never fear the dark clouds for it
      reminds you to be prepared of the
          unforeseen circumstamces.

Whenever life pushes you to the limit, behold the view. Stop, think, rechart your path. Then, just go for it. Never let the boundary set you the limit.

Just go, take the calculated risk, while taking precaution (yet not too much that it will hinder you from moving forward fast), a lil' planning ahead, just do it!

Life waits for no one. Life waits not a second! There's a good reason why it pushes you to the limit. It's the time for you to prove yourself. Not to others, but for your self-satisfaction.

Life live to the fullest!💪🏻

Aidiladha

Text: Rozanah Zakaria
Photo: Rozanah Zakaria
       Sacrifice comes in many shapes.

Eidul Adha or the celebration of the day of sacrifice. What do you sacrifice yourself?

I believe there's something in us we should always sacrifice. As when I studied Economics at IIUM, to gain something, you have to forgo something. That's the rule. I believe that applies well in our lives too.

As SPM examination is coming in a couple of months, what a student should sacrifice? What about sacrificing 5 hours a day for your revision?

As a person, living our daily lives, what do we sacrifice to get something we badly want? For me, I'd rather put on hold buying that shiny Mac (sigh!😪) just because I long the warm feeling of the Maldives sand.😍. Well, I call that sacrifice.

These are just some instances. What about you? What are you willing to sacrifice to get something you really want? Or should the question be, are you willing to sacrifice, if at all, in the first place? Forgetting all the comfort for the sake of something you have been longing for?

The answer is yours!

 Eid mubarak everyone!😍

Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!

Text: Rozanah Zakaria

At Pantai Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!

Merdeka! What about it? What about independence are you talking about?

For me, it's getting myself out of the old paradigm. I mean, I'm going for a paradigm shift. After all, people say life begins at 40. Well, I'm not yet at that age, though it's bot far away. 😉.

So, I guess I should prepare myself to begin an amazing, interesting and enjoyable life at the pinnacle, huh?
At least I thought so.

Whatever interpretation of independence or Merdeka to you, go for it, let go of those negativities surrounding you all these while.

Happy 60th Merdeka peeps!

Crazy

Life sometimes can drive you crazy. You can choose to go with the flow or to just go against it. Whatever your choice, do it to the best of your interest and your loved ones.

It's easy to say, hard to do it. Yet, never stop striving for the best.

Regrets

Text: Rozanah Zakaria
Photo: Rozanah Zakaria

There are things in life, you regret doing them. Yet, at another time, you would do it, the same thing happens again.

When will you not regret of your doings, then? The answer remains yours.

Until then, live life to the fullest.

Do you find me

Text: Rozanah Zakaria
Photo: Rozanah Zakaria
                       I am here.

Hey! Do you find me?
Here?

Do you see me?
As busy as a bee.

Do you find me yet you lose me?
Do you lose me, yet we are together?

Do you find me, in your heart?
Do you find me in your soul?

You have the answers.
I have them too.

Yet, choices are laid before our eyes to be chosen from.
You choose what you longed for,
I will do mine.

😍

A tough life ahead, indeed

Text: Rozanah Zakaria
Photo: Rozanah Zakaria

Every day, life gets tougher.
Yep! True enough when they say,

'when the going gets tough,
the tough gets going'.

The question here,
how tough can we be?;
how tough can I be?

At times, I feel like 'enough is enough'; yet at another,
I feel like fighting it back,
with whatever it takes,
no matter what comes my way,
with all my might.

Well, no matter how;
no matter what;

THINK and ACT!

The decisions to life is in our hands!

Let's do it now!

Until then, I am Rozanne. Bye!

I'm tired

Text: Rozanah Zakaria
Photo: Rozanah Zakaria
           Time may heal, or so I hope.

I'm tired of living on people's expectation.

Tired of being very cautious that this person will say this, the other one will say that about me.

Doesn't matter what I do, I never ask for their unwanted sarcastic opinions.

Live me alone!

You will regret if I have to resort to vengeance should I can't contain what's inside me anymore.

Take things lightly, moderately

Text: Rozanah Zakaria

There are times, we just need to take some things lightly, so it won't burden us.

There are times, things are not as difficult as they look, so be cheerful, embrace them with a light heart.

There are times, things seemed to be so tangled, yet it may be the tunnel to the lights that will shine on all.

So, there are times, we need to take some things lightly, so that we live happily, ever after. 😍

Embrace

Text: Rozanah Zakaria

When you face anything in life;
embrace.
Never shun from it.
Scrutinise it with all your might.
Find ways to it.

That will definitely open the doors of opportunities;
The doors to many obstacles;

It starts with embracing life.

You decide, you choose

Text: Rozanah Zakaria

There are times, life comes to you in pieces.
You have to get them subtly,
rearrange them to create meaningful moments.

There are also times, you get the right pieces, but you choose to ignore them, taking them for granted.

Hold on then.
Breathe deeply.
Think rationally.

If you need to hold it back,
If you need to get rid of it,
If you need to reassess a relationship,

By all means,
do so!

Your life,
YOU DECIDE.

Mak ayah

Teks: Rozanah Zakaria

Lama aku tak menulis perihal Mak Ayah.

Mak;
Setiap kali anak-anak balik kampung, macam-macam nak diceritanya.
Kadang-kadang aku rasa macam nak tampar diri sendiri bila tangan gatal nak membelek skrin tatkala Mak bercerita pada aku.🤦🏻♀️

Ayah;
Macam biasa, Ayah jarang bersuara.
Selalunya Ayah akan setia di depan televisyen, menonton berita.
Itu sajalah rancangan paling Ayah suka sejak aku kecil.
Dulu aku cukup tak faham kenapa Ayah 'fanatik' dengan berita di tv.
Sampaikan Nightline tengah malam pun ditunggunya.
Sekarang aku tahu.

Tapi mungkin zaman aku berbeza.

Aku masih tak dapat terima berita di tv, aku akan belek naskhah akhbar online serta berita yang aku pilih untuk baca sahaja.

Mak;
Selalu jugak Mak menelefon aku bertanya  khabar atau sekadar bercerita perihal Ayah beli macam-macam sebab tahu anak-anak akan balik.

Ayah;
Jarang sekali Ayah menelefon aku atau adik-adik.
Dulu aku fikir Ayah sibuk, jarang ambil kisah hal kami;
aku fikir Mak seorang saja yang prihatin.

Sehinggalah Mak bercerita;

❤️😊

Be true

Text: Rozanah Zakaria
Photo: Rozanah Zakaria

Be true to yourself.
Be honest.
Never do anything just for the sake of pleasing anyone.

Be true.
Always.

Live life

Text: Rozanah Zakaria
Photo: Rozanah Zakaria

Live is a choice.
You choose;
you make decisions;
you bear the consequences.

You are what you do,
what you decide to be.

Let's embrace life in our own unique ways,
thus making this world a place of comfort for everyone.

Life's like that

Text: Rozanah Zakaria
Photo: Rozanah Zakaria

Life's like that.

Life's like that;
You take it easy, it will come hard on you;
You take it seriuosly, it will be warm & welcoming towards you.

Life's like that;
You say you don't need anyone,
To fulfill your needs, you are looking for everyone.

Life's like that;
What makes you poor is confining all your worth just within you,
What makes you wealthy is giving all your might towards the good of others.

Life's like that;
As peculiar as it works,
We shall taste the sweetest of moments from it still.

Life's like that;
As you are free to choose, yet you are bound to its consequences.

Life's like that.

What a life

Text: Rozanah Zakaria

What a life, if it is full of sorrow
What a life, if there's no room for grow
What a life, if hatred is making us slow

What kind of life, are we looking for?

Life

Text: Rozanah Zakaria

Sometimes, I think life is not always on our side. Sometimes I feel like going somwhere far from anyone I know.

Staying there for a while where I can care for myself, only me.

Sometimes I feel tired of living a life having to accommodate others all the time.

Also, feeling tired of having been pushed around when people don't need me.

I guess, that will linger in my mind for a while until I am able to realise it.

Enough said, life must go on, whatever it takes.

May Allah ease my burden of mind. Ameen.

Challenge

Text: Teacher Rozanne
Photo: Teacher Rozanne

Nothing come without a challenge.
Be bold.
Be a gentleman.
Face it.
Move on.
Leave behind whatever is hindering you from moving forward.
Time is too short; too precious to keep complaining.
Find the best solution.

That way.
You move forward.

Good luck!

Never fail to appreciate.

Text: Rozanah Zakaria

Never fail to appreciate.

Oftentimes, we fail to do so.
Oftentimes, we never do, especially to those very dear to us.
Oftentimes, we ignore those who are always there for us.
Oftentimes, we even hurt the feelings of those who always care for us.
Oftentimes, we even treat them like they are invisible.

Until one day, one fine day;

They are no more here,
They leave us for good,

Or maybe they can't bear too much of those disappointment,
Or they are tired of being treated like they are begging us for life,

Or they simply go, just because they want no more of being shadowed,
being humiliated,
being ignored.

Simply because,
they also have feelings
they also have dreams

And definitely,
They want no more, of being the invisible visible.

Never fail to appreciate,
for it may be too late,
when they are gone,
forever.
